Ranking of Kazakh Poker Players in Online Tournament SCOOP-2017, Position 102 in Event #3
In the 2017 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), Kazakhstani players showed a slight decrease in their performance compared to the previous year, SCOOP-2016.
According to data from PokerStars and other poker-centric databases, Kazakhstani players reached the money a total of 169 times in the SCOOP series, a decrease from 213 times in SCOOP-2016. The overall amount won by Kazakhstani players also saw a decrease, falling to approximately $45,000, down from nearly $75,000 last year.
One notable Kazakhstani player who participated in the SCOOP-56-L Turbo event was "mavpo", who finished in 1,574th place. Another participant, "Artyto", also took part in the same event and ended up in 2,180th place.
While specific event wins or placements were not mentioned, it is worth noting that a Kazakhstani player advanced to Day 1 of the SCOOP Main Event for $109 and was in 77th place.
The number of Kazakhstani players in the SCOOP series this year was 1,280, a decrease of more than 20% compared to last year. This decrease was not unique to Kazakhstan, as Ukrainians also saw a decrease, with 14,762 players in the SCOOP series, down from an estimated 18,000 in SCOOP-2016.
Belarusians, on the other hand, maintained a relatively stable number of participants, with 5,795 players in the SCOOP series. Among CIS countries, Russians led with 54,493 players.
The SCOOP series, which includes events numbered #1 and #2, was scheduled from February 20-26, March 6-19, and included a Jubilee Sunday Million. The SCOOP-55-L Main Event had 23,316 entries, and various Kazakhstani players, such as "Artyto" and "Adil Jean", also participated in other events.
